Classes
Classes take place on Sunday's from 9:30-11:30am. We start the day with a tefillah (prayer) service for students and their adults 9:30-10:00 where we also share community announcements.
Location
Fall semester classes (Sept 11 - Dec 18) will take place at Sinai Temple, 1100 Dickinson St, Springfield MA. Spring semester classes (Jan 8 - May 21) will take place at Temple Beth El, 979 Dickinson St, Springfield MA.
Students
Classes are open for students Pre-K to 12th grade. Our Pre-K class is open to students who begin the school year at 3.5 yo. Our high school class is open to students 8th-12th grade. K-7th grade classes focus on Jewish values, Judaics, holiday celebrations and more!
Hebrew Learning
Hebrew learning takes place outside of normal Sunday class time for grades 2nd-7th. Families have the option to register for 1:1 tutoring both virtually and in-person, as well as a new offering this year of small group tutoring based on skill level.
Jewish Enrichment
There are so many ways to be Jewish and explore Judaism! We hope to pilot a new opportunity for students 2nd-12th grade to enroll in a once-a-week Jewish Enrichment after school program in the coming year(s), if there is interest. This program will be elective based.
Pluralism & Inclusivity
We come together, a Reform and Conservative Synagogue, with shared values and sometimes distinct practices. We see this as a one of the strengths of B'Yachad, coming together as klal Yisrael, one people, to embrace and learn from each other and each others diverse practices within Judaism.
